What is gasworld?

For the purpose of users of the website - the industrial gas industry is related to the supply of industrial gases (oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide etc.), equipment and services to end-user industries.

We believe that there are between 8-10,000 companies involved in the production and distribution of gas and equipment to literally millions of end-users. Virtually every country in the world has a need for industrial gases, no matter what stage of development the country may be at.

Whether you are an end-user or actively involved in the industrial gases business, one common complaint has been the lack of information about the industry. In 2004, gasworld launched a Directory Service to provide an easy to use search engine for companies or individuals to search for suppliers of gas, equipment and services, effectively becoming the 'Yellow Pages' for the industrial gases business.

However, the gasworld Directory provides a powerful search tool for registered users to select specific requirements in order to produce the most useful set of results.

The gasworld Directory also provides companies with the first industry specific opportunity to advertise their products on a global scale. We also provide a vehicle for companies to launch or advertise new products for use within the industrial gas community and also to the large end-user market.

In January 2005, and three months ahead of schedule, gasworld launched its News Service. No single on-line source of information on the global industrial gases business exists and the gasworld News will provide users the opportunity to keep up with daily news on or about our industry.
