Westfalen AG was founded in 1923. Today, the family-owned company owns 1,300 staff and generates sales of around EUR 1,7 billion. The Technical Gases Division with subsidiaries in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic sells around 300 gases, gas mixtures and refrigerants for virtually all applications in industry, handicrafts, food manufacture, laboratory and medicine. Nitrogen, oxygen and argon are produced in three modern air separation plants in Germany and France. Besides, the company is one of the leading LPG suppliers in Germany and operates the biggest network of independent branded filling stations in the country.
