Tonnage Gases, the Make versus Buy Argument

The supply of large volumes of industrial gases, e.g. oxygen, nitrogen or hydrogen, requires production on-site close to the point of consumption. For setting up this on-site production of tonnage gases, the customer has to decide between captive production or a supply contract through a gas company. This make versus buy decision is driven through different criteria, which depend on the specific situation.
