Air Products has been recognised on the Dow Jones Sustainability North American Index (DJSI) for the 12th consecutive year.
In the 2021/22 index, DJSI placed Air Products in the top 20% of North American companies in its industry group based on long-term economic, environmental and social criteria.
Simon Moore, Vice-President of Investor Relations, Corporate Relations and Sustainability at Air Products, said, “It is an honour to again be recognised by DJSI for our sustainability and corporate responsibility efforts.”
“This recognition reflects our efforts to grow responsibly through sustainability-driven opportunities that benefit our customers in our world. We are proud to assist our customers along their sustainability journey to help build a cleaner, more sustainability energy future.”
Supporting Air Products’ sustainability efforts have been a number of clean energy projects which the company has recently announced, such as its $4.5bn blue hydrogen clean energy complex to be built in Louisiana.
Congratulating the industrial gas giant on its award, Manjit Jus, Global Head of ESG Research at S&P Global, said, “We congratulate Air Products being included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index in North America.”
“A DJSI distinction is a reflection of being a sustainability leader in your industry. The record number of companies participating in the 2021 S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment is testament the growing movement for ESG disclosure and transparency.”
