Sherwood Valve LLC has introduced a new NGV Series global valve for compressed natural gas (CNG), methane, ethane and other flammable gases used in gas packs, energy delivery and power back-up modules.
The new valve series is representative of the significant growth underway in the CNG sector.
Sherwood’s NGV Series is part of its Global Valve line, which is world renowned for quality and reliability and meets the needs for low-pressure, residual pressure and high-pressure applications. The NGV valve features reduced internal stress zones, innovative valve core design, and durable internal components with a special design stem sealing system for long-term use in hydrocarbon flammable gas service. The Series conforms to CGA V-9, S1.1 and ISO 10297 standards.
The NGV series includes standard cylinder valves (NGV) and high-pressure valves (NGVH) as well as residual pressure valve (NGRPV) configurations. Bonnet and seat assembly kits and piston assembly kits are available, supporting easy field service. The series includes cylinder service valves with CGA350, CGA 695 and CGA 703 connections, covering the entire spectrum of flammable gases applications.
“Sherwood’s new NGV valve meets the needs of developers and engineers expanding the use of CNG for energy and manufacturing applications. We are ready to meet the needs of this growing market,” said Dino Sciullo, director of sales & marketing.
The NGV series complements the Sherwood Dual Fuel (DF) series, supporting a broader range of applications, with the valves already in production and available through Sherwood authorized distributors.
Electronic Fluorocarbons (EFC), headquartered in Massachusetts, utilizes the latest technology for the purification and microanalysis of its legacy fluorinated specialty gases and rare gases for the medical and electronics semiconductor manufacturing industries.
As we head in to 2018, we look back on a very interesting changing market for krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe) and neon (Ne) in 2017. Ne supply this year continued to increase as new plants came on-stream while the demand was growing slowly after the big decline of 2016.
Electronics manufacturing is a highly complex sequence of adding and subtracting material, with the resulting sum yielding circuits sometimes less than one hundred atoms wide. For over 50 years, Moore’s Law has driven an industry to make smaller devices on larger scales.
Sherwood Valve, LLC has launched the company’s new, comprehensive 80+ page compressed gas catalog including industrial gas valves, medical valves, propane cylinder valves, alternative energy valves, specialty valves and pressure relief devices.
