After a decade of research and development in the making, a breakthrough in the field of nitrogen generation has been made by Generon IGS.
The company’s new technology uses its patented PCCP polymer, a high-flow and high-recovery membrane module that also allows for the manufacture of low-cost membrane modules for nitrogen generation.
The new PCCP membrane modules are best suited for applications where nitrogen usage pressure is low, such as blanketing on chemical tankers or LNG carriers.
In addition to being the most compact air separation membranes in the world, the PCCP membrane modules technology also allows the design of nitrogen generators with more than 20 percent lower energy consumption, smaller footprints, lower weight and a smaller price tag.
Generon IGS, Inc. notes that it is continuing with research and development efforts to even further improve GENERON® membrane technology.
Electronic Fluorocarbons (EFC), headquartered in Massachusetts, utilizes the latest technology for the purification and microanalysis of its legacy fluorinated specialty gases and rare gases for the medical and electronics semiconductor manufacturing industries.
As we head in to 2018, we look back on a very interesting changing market for krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe) and neon (Ne) in 2017. Ne supply this year continued to increase as new plants came on-stream while the demand was growing slowly after the big decline of 2016.
Electronics manufacturing is a highly complex sequence of adding and subtracting material, with the resulting sum yielding circuits sometimes less than one hundred atoms wide. For over 50 years, Moore’s Law has driven an industry to make smaller devices on larger scales.
Sherwood Valve, LLC has launched the company’s new, comprehensive 80+ page compressed gas catalog including industrial gas valves, medical valves, propane cylinder valves, alternative energy valves, specialty valves and pressure relief devices.
