Primary Flow Signal (PFS) has announced the availability of the Battery Powered Differential Pressure transmitter across its entire differential flow meter product line.

PFS is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative, durable, and accurate flow-metering solutions for oil and gas, water/wastewater and industrial applications. The PFS Battery Powered Differential Pressure transmitter provides highly accurate flow measurement readings, without the need for an external power source.

As differential pressure flow meters have a primary and a secondary element, the primary can be an orifice plate, Venturi, wedge-type, or flow nozzle, while the traditional loop-powered secondary units will measure the differential pressure and provide an electrical signal for transmission to a local indicator, PLC or remote process control instrument.

The PFS Battery Powered Differential Pressure transmitter provides accurate flow rate and totalization readings for applications including gas, water, chemicals, and air with temperature limitations. Combining a factory installed, direct mounted transmitter with any PFS differential devices makes for a very attractive turnkey solution, says the company.

The transmitter provides a portable solution that does not require external power, has a long service life, and is ideal for remote locations where power is not available. The transmitters can be applied to PFS meters such as the WedgeTypeTM flow meter for accurate monitoring of oil and gas, and also on the Venturis, to provide options for high accuracy in demanding applications, such as irrigation water, aeration air and fueling systems.
