Liquid gas flow can now be calculated with precision using Sierra Instrument’s new cryogenic version of its InnovaMass 240 multivariable mass vortex flow meter.
Sierra introduced the new cryogenic version for the advanced, more reliable measurement of liquefied gases down to -330°F (-200°C), including liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
While liquid gas flow may have traditionally been gauged by inexact turbine flow meters in the past, with the new cryogenic InnovaMass containing no moving parts that will either wear out or require service, liquid gas flow can now be calculated with precision and increased service life.
Using a special cryogenic temperature RTD, mass calculations are achieved with the latest density equations of state for liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon and carbon dioxide.
The InnovaMass 240 can be loop powered with power in, a programmable analog output and a HART or MODBUS signal riding on the same two wires, and the cryogenic version of the device undergone extensive testing and field validation over the last several years.
Electronic Fluorocarbons (EFC), headquartered in Massachusetts, utilizes the latest technology for the purification and microanalysis of its legacy fluorinated specialty gases and rare gases for the medical and electronics semiconductor manufacturing industries.
As we head in to 2018, we look back on a very interesting changing market for krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe) and neon (Ne) in 2017. Ne supply this year continued to increase as new plants came on-stream while the demand was growing slowly after the big decline of 2016.
Electronics manufacturing is a highly complex sequence of adding and subtracting material, with the resulting sum yielding circuits sometimes less than one hundred atoms wide. For over 50 years, Moore’s Law has driven an industry to make smaller devices on larger scales.
Sherwood Valve, LLC has launched the company’s new, comprehensive 80+ page compressed gas catalog including industrial gas valves, medical valves, propane cylinder valves, alternative energy valves, specialty valves and pressure relief devices.
Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
