Swagelok has acquired the assets of Innovative Pressure Technologies (IPT) as part of its strategy to broaden the company’s offering of products and services for fluid system technology customers around the world.
Terms of the purchase were not disclosed, but Swagelok did indicate that the acquisition would provide the company with a more ‘robust’ valve portfolio.
Located in Erie, PA, IPT is a manufacturer of quality high and medium-pressure and sub-sea valves, fittings and fluid control devices.
These products are used mostly in oil and gas, chemical/petrochemical, waterjet cutting, automotive, water blasting, and other demanding applications.
Based in Solon, OH, Swagelok is itself a major developer and provider of fluid system solutions and Arthur F. Anton, president and CEO of Swagelok Company, commented, “We are excited to welcome the IPT team to Swagelok. These products will help meet customer demands for using higher pressures in their applications.”
For years, IPT has been designing and manufacturing a range of ball, needle, check, relief, high-pressure, and sub-sea valve products.
“The IPT acquisition allows us to offer a more robust valve portfolio,“ continued Anton.
Electronic Fluorocarbons (EFC), headquartered in Massachusetts, utilizes the latest technology for the purification and microanalysis of its legacy fluorinated specialty gases and rare gases for the medical and electronics semiconductor manufacturing industries.
As we head in to 2018, we look back on a very interesting changing market for krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe) and neon (Ne) in 2017. Ne supply this year continued to increase as new plants came on-stream while the demand was growing slowly after the big decline of 2016.
Electronics manufacturing is a highly complex sequence of adding and subtracting material, with the resulting sum yielding circuits sometimes less than one hundred atoms wide. For over 50 years, Moore’s Law has driven an industry to make smaller devices on larger scales.
Sherwood Valve, LLC has launched the company’s new, comprehensive 80+ page compressed gas catalog including industrial gas valves, medical valves, propane cylinder valves, alternative energy valves, specialty valves and pressure relief devices.
