Citing a number of gas chromatography (GC) calibration applications, VICI Metronics is now able to offer its Dynacal® Permeation Tubes for hydrogen cyanide.
Dynacal® Permeation Tubes are small, inert capsules containing a pure chemical compound in a two-phase equilibrium between its gas phase and its liquid or solid phase.
At a constant temperature, the device emits the compound through its permeable portion at a constant rate. Accurate, stable concentrations range from parts-per-billion (PPB) to high parts-per-million (PPM).
Due to its expertise with hazardous compounds, VICI Metronics is now able to offer hydrogen cyanide.
The purpose of a calibration gas standard is to establish a reference point for the verification of an analysis. Permeation Tube rates can be certified using standards traceable to NIST by the most basic and accurate laboratory procedure – measuring the gravimetric weight loss over a known period of time, at a known temperature.
Devices are typically inserted into a carrier flow to generate test atmospheres for calibrating gas analyzer systems, testing hazardous gas alarms, or conducting long-term studies of effects on materials or biological systems – in short, any situation requiring a stable concentration of a specific trace chemical.
Permeation rate data is already established for hundreds of different compounds, and rates for new compounds can be easily certified using NIST-traceable standards.
Electronic Fluorocarbons (EFC), headquartered in Massachusetts, utilizes the latest technology for the purification and microanalysis of its legacy fluorinated specialty gases and rare gases for the medical and electronics semiconductor manufacturing industries.
As we head in to 2018, we look back on a very interesting changing market for krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe) and neon (Ne) in 2017. Ne supply this year continued to increase as new plants came on-stream while the demand was growing slowly after the big decline of 2016.
Electronics manufacturing is a highly complex sequence of adding and subtracting material, with the resulting sum yielding circuits sometimes less than one hundred atoms wide. For over 50 years, Moore’s Law has driven an industry to make smaller devices on larger scales.
Sherwood Valve, LLC has launched the company’s new, comprehensive 80+ page compressed gas catalog including industrial gas valves, medical valves, propane cylinder valves, alternative energy valves, specialty valves and pressure relief devices.
