This article is based on a presentation prepared for the Global Helium Summit 2.0 by the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Robert Jolley. Diagrams are provided to address the new changes introduced by the Helium Stewardship Act of 2013, and project the decline in helium production from the storage reservoir.
This article discusses the early history of the helium programme, the organisational structure, and partnerships with the private helium industry. It will also discuss the helium production capacity and future operations through 30th September 2021.
