Economic growth over the past decade (2006-2016) averaged at 1.1% p.a. This was distorted by periods of high growth at the beginning of the decade and massive contractions within the economy over the past few years. Industrial production (as measured by the industrial production index) had fallen from growth rates of around 3% in 2006-2012, to -5% in 2013-2016).
