The commercial industrial gases market in Brazil was estimated to have generated revenues of some $1.79bn in 2018. This was an increase from revenues in 2008 of $703m, indicating an average annual growth rate of 9.9% p.a. for the decade.
GDP increased by approximately 1.9% Over the past decade (2008-2018). Despite high growth over the past decade, Brazil has experienced a decline of approximately 5% 2014 to 2015. However, 2018 saw positive growth of 4.5%.
Within the 2018-2023 timeframe, gasworld business intelligence predict growth from 6.4% p.a. in a low scenario to 9.1% p.a. in a high scenario. Accordingly, the industry in Brazil is expected to achieve revenues of between $2.44bn to $2.77bn by 2023.
