The commercial industrial gas market in Sweden is estimated to have generated revenues of $520m in 2016. This is up from $395m in 2006, indicating an average annual growth rate of 2.5% for the decade.

The industrial gas sector in Sweden is dominated by two of the major international companies. The market leader is Linde (through its subsidiary AGA) which commands a market share of 68%, followed by Air Liquide with a 26% share. Praxair has a small presence that amounts to a 3% market share. Other companies, including Strandmollen, are responsible for the remainder of the market.

Going forward, gasworld business intelligence forecast strong growth being driven by added capacity, increased demand and captive-to-onsite conversion.
