Following the change in ownership at the company since MOCON completed its $20 million takeover in April (2012), PBI-Dansensor has now become simply ‘Dansensor’.
MOCON acquired 100 percent of the equity interests of PBI-Dansensor for approximately $20 million, with two-thirds of that amount paid for in cash at closing and the remainder to be paid over four years.
For MOCON, the deal for the newly re-branded Dansensor was a deal that the company had been ‘interested in for a long time’.
Denmark-based Dansensor is adopting a new logo as part of the re-brand – a ‘red arch’ symbolizing a gauge – to represent the company’s expertise in measurement technology.
“This is an exciting time for Dansensor,” said sales and marketing director Karsten Kejlhof. “We have made a small change to our name and will continue to provide the high level of service and technological innovation that has earned us our reputation as one of the world’s leading companies in modified atmosphere packaging.”
“Not only will we continue to innovate and deliver new solutions, but by teaming up with MOCON we will be able to offer an even wider range of products and services.”
Dansensor develops and supplies cutting-edge solutions for the modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) industry, innovating in leak detection, quality assurance and quality control instrumentation, and state-of-the-art gas mixing technologies.
