Excelerate Energy LLC has launched the preparation of engineering works for a new LNG terminal in Ukraine.
A service agreement was signed on 16th April (2013) in Houston, US between Excelerate Energy and the State-owned enterprise ‘LNG Terminal National Project’.
Excelerate Energy LLC is a global market leader in floating storage and regasification units (FSRU) and LNG Terminal National Project expects the results of the engineering work will make it possible – within the next year – to install an FSRU in Yuzhny Port near Odessa with a total capacity of 5 bcm.
It is understood that the agreement, which builds on a previous Framework Agreement made last year during a formal ceremony launching the construction of LNG terminal, was revealed during the recent LNG 17 conference held in Houston, Texas (US).
