Danish oxygen and nitrogen generator systems manufacturer, Oxymat A/S experienced a ‘year of significant growth’ in 2012 as its revenues rose more than 30% and order intake also increased more than 25%.

During the more gloomy financial times in the late 2000s the company made a change in strategy and initiated a strengthened focus on customer segments within the metal, mining and oil/gas industries.

Oxymat set out on a mission to discover economies still healthy and growing and ‘found them’ in regions like South America, Africa and Asia. Consequently, and in just four years, the company has succeeded in transferring its primary order intake from 80% EU-based business to only 20% EU-based business.

Establishing sales offices in China and Columbia has been a part of this new strategy and would appear to have been the correct move to make; sales have increased in these regions and Oxymat’s overall net income for 2012 was very satisfactory and revenues increased more than 30%.

Further, Oxymat projects up to 20% growth in revenue in 2013 compared to 2012.

Oxymat notes that 2012 was also a year of new designs for the company, as it launched a number of new developments for the market. Developments at Oxymat included a container-framed 10 tpd oxygen unit consuming less than 1 kW per Sm3 of 93% oxygen, a new 99.5 % system for oxygen delivered successfully to the client, and its first 100 Nm2/h OPAS (Oxymat Purifier Action System) coming into operation, supplying 1ppm of nitrogen with a kW per m3 factor of around 0.4 kW.
