Airgas, Inc. is to exhibit an array of supplies and products to fit any welding and manufacturing need at the EASTEC event held by The Society of Manufacturing Engineers later this month.
The event, to be held in West Springfield, Massachusetts from 14th – 16th May, will see Airgas feature its extensive line of industry products.
Airgas will also exhibit an array of products including torches, welders, accessories, and more from leading brands, as well as its own Radnor brand.
Among the exhibited Airgas products will be the VRTEX® Mobile Virtual Reality Arc Welding Trainer by Lincoln Electric, the company’s newest and most cost-effective tool in its line of welding education solutions for schools, training centres, and industry customers.
The interactive teaching device is easily transported on-site to introduce new welders to the trade in a classroom or in a manufacturing facility. It may also be used as an HR screening tool or for workforce training. Now available through Airgas, the VRTEX® Mobile Trainer allows a student to learn and train safely with realistic imagery and graphics, plus a specially-equipped virtual reality welding helmet.
“Manufacturing is a key Airgas market and we are thrilled to be exhibiting our wide range of offerings to our customers and the EASTEC community,” said Garth Stapon, Automation Sales Specialist for Airgas’ Northeast region.
“Lincoln Electric has leveraged the experience gained from their first generation VRTEX® 360 system and developed a modern, portable, and economical training tool,” explains Stapon. “Airgas is excited to offer this affordable new product and its cutting-edge simulated training technology.”
EASTEC will be held at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
