Amphenol Industrial Global Operations, a global leader in interconnect systems, has expanded its Starline EX and Amphe-EX series of connectors to offer a higher level of corrosion resistance for use in harsh environments.
Designed for hazardous ATEX and IECEx applications, the rugged connectors are designed with ‘exceptional’ mating properties and are available in high grade 316 stainless steel.
Used in oil and gas offshore platforms, FPSO turret mounting equipment, marine environments and natural gas processing equipment, Amphenol’s Starline EX and Amphe-EX are threaded, flameproof and fabricated to prevent the mixture of explosive gases and the electrical circuits by means of tighter tolerances in mated junctions.
Approved for Zone 1 rated applications, both the Starline EX and Amphe-EX connectors eliminate hard wiring to terminal blocks enclosed in junction boxes and provide quick and safe interconnections to modular equipment.
Pricing for the Starline EX starts at $400 per mated set. Pricing for the Amphe-EX starts at $300 per mated set.
The advanced Model FS10A Flow Switch/Monitor from Fluid Components International (FCI) has received ATEX and IECEx approvals. With ATEX and IECEx approvals, the FS10A Flow Switch/Monitor is suitable for continuous flow verification applications supporting process analyzer sampling systems operating in hazardous plant areas in the European Community and elsewhere worldwide.
Electronic Fluorocarbons (EFC), headquartered in Massachusetts, utilizes the latest technology for the purification and microanalysis of its legacy fluorinated specialty gases and rare gases for the medical and electronics semiconductor manufacturing industries.
As we head in to 2018, we look back on a very interesting changing market for krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe) and neon (Ne) in 2017. Ne supply this year continued to increase as new plants came on-stream while the demand was growing slowly after the big decline of 2016.
Flow-Cal, Inc. achieved record attendance at its fifteenth annual Users Group conference. This year’s event, held in the Uptown/Galleria area of Houston, Texas, brought in over 300 industry leaders and 70 companies..
Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
