Corning F. Painter has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Merchant Gases at Air Products.
A veteran of Air Products having joined the company in 1984, Painter succeeds John W. Marsland, who is leaving the company to pursue other career opportunities.
Patricia (Pam) A. Mattimore, currently vice-president and general manager of Performance Materials, will succeed Painter as Senior Vice-President, Supply Chain, and join the company’s Corporate Executive Committee.
John McGlade, who is to retire from his position as Chairman, President and CEO himself in 2014, said, “I want to thank John for his leadership and contributions to Air Products over the past 12 years and congratulate Corning and Pam on their new roles as we continue to execute against our priorities.”
Air Products’ Laurie Stewart, Vice-President of Energy and Materials, and General Services and Chief Procurement Officer, has been named one of Pennsylvania’s Most Powerful and Influential Women by the Pennsylvania Diversity Council.
