WITT Gas Controls LP has expanded the company’s distribution center in Alpharetta, GA, with the 35 percent increase in warehouse space required to meet the increasing demand for its products.
First quarter 2012 saw WITT’s sales of gas analyzer instruments, gas mixers and leak detection equipment increase 39 percent and sales of gas safety equipment and products also rise 54 percent.
With the company experiencing greater US shipments of equipment, the additional distribution of sales to WITT’s partners and customers in Canada necessitated the expansion.
Prior to 2012, Canadian customers had been supplied with shipments direct from the parent company in Germany.
David W. Bell, president and CEO of WITT Gas Controls, said in a statement, “We are pleased to report a solid quarter for shipments as well as maintaining favorable gross margins. Our US sales increased by double digit percent despite the continued uncertainty in some global markets countries.”
“To continue this growth additional inventory is required to meet the increasing customer demands, servicing the Canadian market from the US distribution center will allow for better response to customers in that market. ”
The decision to service Canada from the US will result in quicker deliveries, lower costs and ease of ordering for the Canadian market. Canadian customers can access WITT Gas Controls via toll free numbers for phone 888-948-8427 or for fax 877-948-8427 for pricing and technical information.
