With the competing demands of power generation and petrochemicals, and the relative shortage of gas in the region, unconventional gas is becoming strategically important to the MENA Region.
In view of this increasing importance, Euro Petroleum Consultants has officially announced the MENA Shale 2013 event.
The conference will take place in Abu Dhabi, UAE and will be a forum to discuss the significant opportunities and challenges associated with unconventional gas development in the MENA region.
The objective of MENA Shale 2013 is to outline the challenges and share best practices in relation to the development of unconventional oil and gas. There will be the opportunity to learn from the North American experience, to hear about the latest technological developments and to understand some of the issues associated with development of this industry.
The event will take place at the St Regis Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi on 10th & 11th December 2013. The conference will be held in parallel with another large-scale industry forum – OpEx 2013, which will tackle issues related to Operational Excellence in oil, gas and petrochemicals.
Before then the MENA Industrial Gas Conference 2013 will be held in Dubai (UAE) from 3rd – 5th December 2013, tackling the changing landscape of the MENA industrial gases business against a backdrop of civil unrest, economic modernisation and shifting dynamics.
A promising programme of speakers and presentations will update and inform delegates on the economic factors affecting the current supply chain, including keynote speeches from Bernardo Sestini (President of SIAD Healthcare S.p.A.), Marcus Jakt (gasworld Business Intelligence), Hector Villarreal (President at Weldcoa), Chris Street (Scientific and Technical Gases Chief Executive), John Raquet (gasworld CEO and Publisher) and an executive panel session of CEOs and managing directors from various industrial gases companies.
