With the new MG1000, German manufacturer Witt has launched a gas mixer with an extraordinary high flow rate of up to 1.264 Nm3/h (44,617 SCFH).
The performance of the already ‘impressive’ and award-winning MG500 series is more than doubled as a result, says Witt.
The new system generates a mixture from two non-corrosive, non-toxic gases. A special EEx version is available for flammable gases. Covering a full spectrum of mixing ranges of 0-100 %, including smaller mixing ranges, such as 0-5 %, every conceivable concentration can be mixed – and delivered in any volume.
Any pressure fluctuations in the gas supply are compensated by the integrated pressure equalising system.
“These features alone make the MG1000 a benchmark device in the premium segment,” remarked Product Manager Martin Bender.
The new mixer is also distinguished by simple and user friendly handling. For example, a fully intuitive and infinite mixture setting is possible. Witt has installed an electro-pneumatic proportional mixing valve for this, which is controlled by the widely used Witt digital controller ‘Gas Control 50’. This enables the complete remote control of the mixer, including data management and evaluation, as well as export function via various interfaces.
The MG1000 is operated with a downstream buffer tank of up to 2000 litres, and meets all applicable quality and safety standards.
Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
