President Engineering Group (PEGL) has joined the British Stainless Steel Association (BSSA) as part of its commitment to driving forward with new innovations and technologies.
As members of the BSSA, Bestobell Valves, a company of the President Engineering Group, will be able to utilise technical expertise in relation to the behaviour of Stainless Steel in cryogenic conditions.
This will further enhance the company’s pioneering work in the development of valve technology.
Bestobell Valves will also be taking advantage of training courses run by the BSSA, as part of its investment in the ongoing development of staff.
Mark Henley, Managing Director of President Engineering Group, based in Sheffield UK, said of the development, “We are delighted to become members of the BSSA and look forward to a positive working relationship with them.”
“As we continue to pioneer the design and production of cryogenic valves for liquefied natural gas (LNG) applications, the in-depth knowledge of BSSA’s technical experts in the understanding of the performance of stainless steel in different environments will complement our design and manufacturing expertise in the production of high quality valves. We also see our membership of BSSA as part of our ongoing commitment to staff development.”
Kate Vale from the BSSA, also based in Sheffield, added, “We are delighted to welcome President Engineering as new members. We now have around 180 members and look forward to welcoming more.”
Membership of the BSSA is open to companies and associations trading or working with stainless steel in the UK or the Republic of Ireland. The BSSA exists to promote and develop the manufacture and use of stainless steel across the UK.
Based in Sheffield, the association provides marketing support, technical advice, information, training and education in all aspects of stainless steel.
