Airgas and its advanced fabrication technologies group are discussing the new “Unlocking the Hidden Cost of Welding” course at FabTech 2012.
FabTech is North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event, which began on Monday, November 12th and runs until Wednesday, November 14th at the Las Vegas Convention Hall, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Unlocking the Hidden Cost of Welding uses both classroom and hands-on instruction to help metal fabricators objectively evaluate their operations.
“This three-and-a-half day course focuses on the economics of welding,” said Rob Tessier, Director Advanced Fabrication Technologies. “Students discover how developing Weld Quality Standards can increase productivity and lower welding fabrication costs.”
The course, which is taught by welding experts from Airgas, is intended for business owners, quality control managers, engineers, and other business leaders who want to improve quality and become more productive using very practical techniques.
Currently, this course is held in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Bessemer, Alabama. Airgas is evaluating plans to expand this course into other areas throughout the US. More information and demonstrations of the Airgas “Unlocking the Hidden Cost of Welding” course are available from Airgas Advanced Fabrication Technologies personnel at the Airgas exhibit (number N5231) during FabTech.
Registered FabTech attendees who visit the Airgas exhibit and participate in a MIG welding and weld analysis demonstration will be entered into a drawing for one of three Apple® iPads.
