Praxair has priced $500m of 1.9% notes due February 28, 2019. The notes are being offered under its universal shelf registration statement filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
The offering is being underwritten by Citigroup Global Markets and is expected to close on November 12, 2013. The company anticipates using the proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, including repayment of debt and share repurchases under the company’s share repurchase program. Prior to their application, the net proceeds may be used to repay short-term debt and/or invested in short-term investments.
Praxair India Private Limited has announced it has signed two long-term contracts with JSW Steel, to operate small on-site nitrogen plants in support of the company’s expansion efforts in the cities of Kalameshwar and Tarapur, located in the state of Maharashtra.
Houston, Texas, based Thigpen Energy has selected Chart for the provision of LNG fueling equipment and supplies – with construction already underway. Earlier this week it was announced that the company’s eastern European outfit, Chart Ferox, was chosen to construct LNG filling station in Poland.
