A significant portion of the world’s energy originates from natural gas. However, in order to transport it from the retrieval site to the point-of-use, the gas must first be converted to a liquid. Liquefaction takes places when the gas is cooled to -260° F, which stabilises it and creates a significant reduction in volume. PFS’s Venturi meters used for LNG applications meet ASME and ISO-5167 standards and provide standard accuracy of +/-1.0% to 1.5% (per ASME / ISO-5167) and +/-0.25% or better based on hydraulic laboratory flow calibration. Comprised of carbon steel, stainless steel, or virtually any machinable material requested, PFS’s Venturi meters can be incorporated with a wide variety of secondary instrumentation systems to provide system performance that satisfies any application requirements.
Using the same principles of Venturi meters, PFS’s orifice meter plates provide continuous measurement of fluid flow in pipes. Delivering optimum flexibility, PFS’s plates are ideal for applications with many diverse existing piping schemes, and require a considerably lower investment for the initial purchase of equipment.
