Global Specialty Gases, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dubai-based Global Gases Group FZCO, has completed its’ 12,000 square foot specialty gases fill plant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Since the plant opening in early August, both domestic and international customers have received shipments. The facility, which is Global Gases’ first location in the United States, is equipped with state-of-the-art filling, blending and analytical equipment, and utilises Global Specialty Gases’ proprietary Global Guard cylinder prep process to ensure product purity and conformance to specifications.
“We’re excited to have a fully functioning plant that is getting product out the door to customers, and we’re very pleased to be seeing increased interest and quotation activity,” said Phil Kornbluth, Senior Vice President for the Global Gases Group.
Global Specialty Gases is focused on producing custom gases and blends for the lighting industry, calibration gases, pure gases, including Helium 6.0 grade, laser gases and window insulating gases. The company is seeking to develop new markets and customers where accuracy and dependability are critical, and sells its products to customers in both domestic and international markets. The Global Gases Group’s international footprint provides Global Specialty Gases with access to markets and unique distribution capabilities in eighteen countries.
The Bethlehem facility is staffed by a team of highly experienced specialty gases experts, all of whom had lengthy careers at Spectra Gases, formerly a leading independent specialty gases supplier and a company well known for its customer-focused DNA. Spectra Gases was acquired by Linde AG in 2006.
