Chart Industries is expanding its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wolf Carbon Solutions to jointly identify, develop, pursue, and execute carbon capture projects along the Mt. Simon Hub carbon pipeline system.
Owned by Wolf Carbon Solutions, the Mt. Simon Hub carbon pipeline system will run from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to central Illinois. With Chart’s support, it has potential to be the first CO2 pipeline with carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS) capabilities in its region.
Chart’s Sustainable Energy Solutions (SES) Cryogenic Carbon Capture (CCC) technology will be deployed along the pipeline to capture CO2 from the atmosphere, transport, store and permanently sequester it.
The US cryogenic equipment manufacturer will also leverage Howden’s carbon capture solutions, which it gained through its recent acquisition.
