Danish marine pump specialist Svanehøj has established a new independent business for production, sales and service of land-based liquefied natural gas (LNG) tank gauging systems and hydraulic LP safety valve systems.
The company is set to take advantage of the global increase in LNG supply, which could reach 449m tonnes by 2025.
Svanehøj’s new business venture – named Svanehøj France – comes after its agreement to take over Wartsila Tank Control Systems (TCS), which is engaged in the production, sale and service of high-end gauging systems for LNG plants, terminals, and carriers.
Having been approved by French authorities, the new business will be based in Calais, France, where TCS currently has a production facility.
