Cold Jet, which describes itself as the world leader in environmentally responsible dry ice cleaning and dry ice production technology, has announced the appointment of Arvid Nielsen.
Nielsen joins the company in the position of Technical Director for Cold Jet’s Global Technology and Services Team. Already a native and resident of Denmark, he will work out of the company’s Belgian office in Zolder.
“Arvid brings with him a wealth of valuable expertise and experience, much of it in the CO2/Dry Ice industry,” said Rob Berry, Senior Vice President of Global Technology and Services for Cold Jet. “Our goal for this position is to develop our technical and operational presence in Europe and Arvid will play a key role in Cold Jet’s growth and innovation strategy across our product line.”
Prior to joining Cold Jet, Nielsen’s employment history included a 20-year technical and operational career within the industrial gas business and at Yara International, being a member of the executive management board/team in the Carbon Dioxide and Dry Ice business unit. Arvid has a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Aalborg in Denmark.
The Global CCS Institute has welcomed a new report by the ENGO Network, an international group of leading environmental organisations, which urges governments, in particular, and industry to back carbon capture and storage (CCS) as a vital technology for dramatically reducing carbon emissions.
