One of the world’s leading suppliers of quality assurance equipment for the MAP industry is changing its name. Denmark-based PBI-Dansensor is to become simply Dansensor, to reflect a change of ownership of the company.
Dansensor was acquired by US-based MOCON Inc in April 2012. In addition to the name change, Dansensor is adopting a new logo – a ‘red arch’ symbolising a gauge – to represent the company’s leading expertise in measurement technology.
Dansensor develops and supplies cutting-edge solutions for the modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) industry, innovating in leak detection, quality assurance and quality control instrumentation, and state-of-the-art gas mixing technologies.
“This is an exciting time for Dansensor,” said Sales and Marketing Director Karsten Kejlhof. “We have made a small change to our name and will continue to provide the high level of service and technological innovation that has earned us our reputation as one of the world’s leading companies in modified atmosphere packaging. Not only will we continue to innovate and deliver new solutions, but by teaming up with MOCON we will be able to offer an even wider range of products and services.”
MOCON has its headquarters in Minnesota, USA, and is a leading supplier of permeation testing instruments, package integrity solutions and consulting services to research laboratories, production facilities and quality control departments across a range of industries worldwide.
