Six A-Gas employees cycled more than 110 miles to raise money for the RNLI

Six A-Gas employees who cycled more than 110 miles from Holyhead to Chester are aiming to make a wheely-big contribution to Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) funds.

Francis Burraston, Gwen Adamson-Dunn, Phil Boynes, Jimmy Holmes, Mike Gorham and Tony Hancorn coped admirably with the many hills and the bad weather along the way to complete the challenge in ten hours, over two days, and raise money for the voluntary organisation.

Francis Burraston said afterwards, “It was certainly a trip to remember. On the first day it rained heavily and we found ourselves cycling into a strong headwind. We got soaked to the bone but it was all for a good cause and we are delighted that we have completed the ride.”

Fellow A-Gas employee Paul Sunshine was on hand to provide back-up with a van and to meet the intrepid group after they completed their marathon cycle ride.
