A-Gas a speciality chemical and gases management expert has announced its company expansion into Canada.

The business in Canada will be led by Louise McCann who has worked within A-Gas for 14 years. McCann has managed other regions of the A-Gas business, most recently, Asia Pacific.

“A-Gas recognises Canada as a country where we can leverage our skills and expertise from around the globe to develop innovate and sustainable market solutions,” said McCann.

“It’s our intention to become a large-scale, long term market participant and we are committed to furthering our investment directly in Canada to enable this. A-Gas already has some strong relationships within Canada, having participated in the reclaimed refrigerant market for several years,” said McCann.

Jim Flowers will join the team as the new business director of A-Gas Canada. Flowers previously served as the manager of market development for packaged chemicals and refrigerants for Linde Canada.

“The recent implementation of the HFC allowance system in Canada will bring new challenges and opportunities in the Canadian market for real change. I am excited about the opportunity with A-Gas to make instrumental changed to support this developing market,” said Flowers.
