ABB and PERIC Hydrogen Technologies have joined forces to optimise green hydrogen production as demand for the energy carrier continues to accelerate across the globe.
Having signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today (28th Sep), the duo will now work to develop joint solutions and integrate complementary technologies for electrolysis.
It is hoped a detailed plan for action will be delivered within the next three months.
On the commitment, Zhang Yuguang, General Manager of PERIC, said, “It is critical for hydrogen to be generated as efficiently as possible.
“ABB’s energy management technologies, combined with their automation, electrification and digitalisation solutions, will help us find the best way to boost the efficiency of our own operations, which in turn, will help minimise the cost of hydrogen production.”
As part of the partnership, it is believed ABB’s integrated approach will support PERIC in optimising energy use throughout plants and therefore reducing costs of electrolyser production.
Through deploying ABB’s digital solutions, all data from a plant’s equipment can be integrated into a single automation system that will be continuously analyser to maintain continuous and effective operation.
