Welding technology innovator ABICOR BINZEL has welcomed two new employees to its team as part of its international growth-orientated strategy to expand its market position and further enhance its image brand.
Jens Schleicher has joined ABICOR as its new Managing Director Marketing and Sales, focusing on the company’s product development and process solutions.
Most recently, Schleicher served as Vice-President for channel sales and marketing at Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum GmbH before joining ABICOR as head of its global marketing and sales division.
In addition, Jason Jamiel has been appointed as Key Accounts Manager – Automotive, bringing a career in the welding and robotics industry spanning more than three decades into the company’s fold.
Under his new position, Jamiel will serve BINZEL’s automotive manufacturing and Tier One suppliers, as well as help to cultivate new clients in the auto industry.
A company statement said that these new appointments will “drive forward the development of ABICOR sales and service structures worldwide as a basis for healthy growth.”
ABICOR BINZEL Group is headquartered in Buseck, Germany, but is present in over 50 countries. Founded in 1945, the company specialised in the development and production of inert gas shielded torches for MIG and TIG welding before releasing its first range of market-leading PLASMA cutting torches in the 1980s.
Abicor Binzel, a specialist in welding and cutting torch technology, has expanded its national sales repertoire after partnering up with US-based welding equipment supplier Weld Revolution, LLC.
