Africa – economic buoyance in 2011

Hot on the heels of gasworld’s African Conference 2010, the continent is exhibiting a surge in economic momentum.
Moving into 2011, gasworld’s host nation, Kenya, has seen a 5.4% rise in GDP, with manufacturing alone increase by 6.8%.

Meanwhile, the industrial gas-reliant construction market is also buoyant, recording 18% growth.

Domestic consumption of electricity, also indicative of economic vitality, saw monthly increases of approximately 14.4% during the last part of 2010.
