AGC Instruments has announced the latest addition to its product offering, with a newly designed Total Hydrocarbon Gas Analyser.
The new gas analyser represents the latest in digital and modern technology, and based on the Flame Ionisation Detector (FID) platform. Having evolved from the it’s well-known predecessor and now with improved analytical performance, AGC is targeting a greater market.
Utilising the finest tools available, the ease with which customers are able to achieve the best results has now been made easier, AGC claims.
The new and easy-to-use THC Analyser has an interactive touch screen display where all controls and results are easily brought to the operator’s attention.
Designed to continuously measure and monitor ppm/ppb concentrations of hydrocarbons in a gas stream, a heated version is also available for those samples where temperature must remain elevated. With a wide target audience including air separation units (ASU), to industrial gas production sites, to the petrochemical and refinery markets, AGC is aiming to further its presence and influence on the market.
A wide range of detection down to < 30ppb is achievable with an ‘Autoranging’ function, while other features include standard 4-20mA outputs with alarm contacts, data logging over RS 232, plus the results can be read direct on the display or transmitted to the Control Room or the DCS. Also new to this model is the validation of all results.
