Air Liquide America, the subsidiary of American Air Liquide Holdings, responsible for its cylinder and ALNET distributor businesses in the U.S., is increasing prices on both bulk and cylinder gases due to increasing costs associated with the sourcing of raw materials.
The price increases will be up to 15 per cent for all industrial and specialty cylinder gases. Delivery charges and cylinder rent will also increase ten per cent.
Bulk prices for liquids will increase a minimum of 15 per cent for oxygen, nitrogen, helium and hydrogen. Carbon dioxide and liquid argon prices will be increased by a minimum of ten per cent.
The new prices are effective immediately or as allowed by customer contracts. Energy and diesel surcharges continue.
Kim Denney, president of Air Liquide America, said: “We constantly strive to improve our cost position but the magnitude of the cost increases in raw material, energy and transportation requires that we take these actions immediately.
“Air Liquide America distributes cylinder and specialty gases and a variety of value-added services to a wide range of customers in the U.S. both directly and through its ALNET distribution network.”
