Air Liquide and gasworld News Magazine are taking part in this year\\$quot;s Challenge Bibendum, an event dedicated to hydrogen and clean energy.
The Michelin sponsored show, which kicks off today in Paris, brings over 75 vehicles including a dozen ecological vehicles fuelled by hydrogen to the public.
The event will also see a rally designed to demonstrate the performance of these environmentally friendly vehicles. Air Liquide will participate in the rally by setting up two service stations to supply hydrogen for the vehicles. The company\\$quot;s stations will be located at the CERAM test centre, near the Eiffel Tower.
Challenge Bibendum will also hold a closing event Forum Bibendum on Monday morning at the CNIT (Paris la Defense). Here the groups\\$quot; chairman and CEO Benoit Potier will speak about the \\$quot;˜energy challenge\\$quot;
Air Liquide said: "This is an opportunity for Air Liquide to remind us that there are now several technologies providing a response to the environmental challenges of reducing greenhouse gases and ensuring a secure energy supply. Conscious that the use of hydrogen in a vehicle is a breakthrough innovation which obliges the public to \\$quot;˜do things differently\\$quot;, the Air Liquide group is contributing to a very significant number of projects and events aimed at progress in research and innovation, as well as public acceptance of this new vector of energy, in particular by means of training and communication.
gasworld will be attending Challenge Bibendum on Sunday and Forum Bibendum on Monday. We will bring you a full report of the event and an exclusive interview with Air Liquide\\$quot;s vice president Francois Darchis in the next gasworld News Magazine.
