Air Liquide China was presented with the “2015 Responsible Brand Award” at the fifth China Charity Festival in Beijing.

It is the first time the corporation has won an award at the annual event and it signifies the company’s contributions to corporate social responsibility (CSR).

This accolade reflects the company’s ongoing initiatives to promote environmental awareness such as the “Green Action” campaign, an annual tree planting activity, and “Air Liquide Computer Classrooms,” whereby it donates refurbished computers to primary schools in rural China.

Marcelo Fioranelli, Vice President of Greater China, Air Liquide Group, commented, “We’re honoured to receive the award, which is another acknowledgement of our efforts to support the local community. As a company pursuing sustainable growth, Air Liquide China will continue to actively commit itself to developing local economies, and contributing to create value over the long term.”

The event took place on 21st January 2016 and is co-organised by over 30 Chinese media. The ceremony selects candidate companies and their projects and evaluates their projects’ social benefits through factors such as credibility, creativity, adaptability and sustainability.
