Air Liquide teams in Canada have equipped three temporary hospitals which have been built to support and treat coronavirus patients in Ontario.
Located at Joseph Brant in Burlington, Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga and Owen Sound Hospital in Owen Sound, the temporary hospitals will each provide care for approximately 80 patients at a time.
Air Liquide has provided the entire liquid oxygen supply systems to the sites, including bulk tanks, vaporisers, regulating stations, concrete and steel pads which will all help to support coronavirus victims.
The industrial gas giant will also supply medical liquid oxygen to support the ongoing needs of the three hospitals.
“We are committed to supporting our communities through this crisis,” said Chris Mendonça, Vice-President of Air Liquide Healthcare, Canada.
“The quick transition of these facilities to temporary hospitals is in process and Air Liquide teams mobilized to ensure timely completion to aid in their commissioning. We are proud that as a business we can support such critical initiatives as supplying medical oxygen to those affected by COVID-19.”
“It’s our employees’ collaboration with local hospitals and their unwavering dedication that have made this possible.”
