Air Products has announced plans to form a joint venture company with Nanjing Chemical Industries Co Ltd (Nanjing Chemical).

Nanjing Chemical is a subsidiary of Sinopec Assets Management Corporation, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sinopec Group.

Air Products will produce hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and liquid products.
The companies will jointly build and operate an air separation unit (ASU) and a hydrogen filling station in Nanjing.

The facility will have the capacity to produce more than 100 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of hydrogen for Nanjing Chemical.

The ASU is set to come on-stream in 2009.
