Developing a new global supply chain for liquefied and clean hydrogen is the main target of a new agreement between Hyundai Glovis and Air Products.

Having signed a Memorandum of Understanding today (19th Oct), the duo will cooperate on a number of various projects including building a domestic liquid hydrogen supply chain.

Further to this, they also hope to develop a domestic blue and green hydrogen supply network as well as promoting participation in overseas blue and green hydrogen shipping by sea.

To do this, Hyundai Glovis plans to enhance domestic distribution competitiveness by securing a stable supply source for liquid hydrogen, while Air Products wants to review investment and operation of a liquid hydrogen plant.

Hyundai Glovis will then introduce clean hydrogen and green ammonia to its shipping capabilities whilst also building an ammonia supply chain with Air Products.

At the signing ceremony, Kim Jeong-hoon, CEO of Hyundai Glovis said, “We expect synergy by collaborating between Hyundai Glovis, which has strengths in global land and sea gas transportation, and Air Products, which has know-how in gas manufacturing/sales technology. We plan to focus our competencies on building a supply chain.”
