Air Products has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index (DJSI) 2016/2017, again ranked among the top 20% of companies in its industry for corporate sustainability performance.

“We are pleased to again be listed by the DJSI. Air Products is committed to being among the best in our industry in sustainability, which is also a very important expectation of many of our customers, investors and other key stakeholders,” said Seifi Ghasemi, Chairman, President and CEO of Air Products.

“Recognition by sustainability indexes like the DJSI is validation of our commitment to being excellent in what we do. However, we recognise that the sustainability bar continues to rise, and we need to continue improving the way we do business to remain among the leaders in our industry sector.”

RobecoSAM annually invites more than 3,000 publicly traded companies to complete its Corporate Sustainability Assessment, which is used to evaluate each company’s economic, environmental, social and governance practices.

The companies best managing sustainability opportunities and risks are then selected for inclusion in the DJSI Indices based on an assessment of general and industry-specific sustainability criteria.

Air Products strives daily to achieve its sustainability goals through its ‘Grow’, ‘Conserve’, and ‘Care’ operational initiatives.
