Air Products and Saudi Arabian Refrigerant Gases Company of Saudi Arabi (SARGAS) will build a new air separation unit (ASU) at the Jindal Shadeed Iron and Steel plant in Sohar, Oman, to produce over 400 tonnes of oxygen and nitrogen per day.
Set to be undertaken by Ajwaa Gases, a joint venture between Air Products and SARGAS, the project represents the third ASU installed by the industrial gas giant at the Jindal Shadeed Iron and Steel facility.
With the new capacity, the facility will see a doubling of its gaseous oxygen and gaseous nitrogen supply, together with an increased production capability of liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen.
