The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) has identified Air Products as a leading company in its Climate Leadership Index for the second consecutive year.
The latest ranking is based on the CDP's annual survey of the world's 500 largest companies, which asked them to openly disclose investment-relevant information on climate change risks and opportunities. According to CDP, investors need to improve their understanding of climate change issues and better integrate that knowledge into investment analysis and decision-making.
John Jones, Air Products' chairman and chief executive officer, said: \\$quot;Air Products is very proud to again be included in the CDP's Climate Leadership Index, which honours the top 60 companies whose responses best address the breadth of climate change issues.
“Our greenhouse gas strategy team serves as our centre of excellence companywide and we are committed to meeting our customers' increasing demands for products and enabling technologies that produce cleaner energy and improve environmental performance and efficiency.\\$quot;
CDP is a group of 145 global institutional investors managing more than $21 trillion in assets.
