Airflow has inked a long-term agreement with Nippon Gases Belgium for the supply of liquid argon for the overseas market.

This comes as the French gas logistics specialist last week (16th June) said it has co-invested close to €1m in a large capacity liquid argon storage tank.

Located at Nippon Gases facility in Lillo at the Port of Antwerp, the tank has can store up to 400 tonnes of liquid argon.

Pierre Fiat, Managing Director at Airflow, said, “Thanks to this investment, Airflow will significantly improve the performances of their argon exports.”

“This storage will allow us to adjust our logistics to the constraints of international shipping and organise even better our ‘just in time’ transport.”

“It’s a recognition in the growth potential of our international markets. This investment is in line with our sustainable development targets as having this storage capacity right in the Port of Antwerp will considerably reduce our liquid argon movements by road.”
