The firm, who brands itself with the slogan, “You’ll find it with us”, has just announced two new senior appointments. According to Airgas, the appointments represent the next step for the customer-focused company.
Frederick E Manley – Vice President of Technology and Service Markets
On 17th March, Frederick E Manley was appointed Vice President of Technology and Services Markets. Manley will be reporting to Ron Stark, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. According to the firm, this new role will ensure that customers with technology-driven products receive the focus which their market demands.
Stark described this new role as the, “next step in the alignment of our sales and marketing efforts for targeted customer segments.” The Senior Vice President added, “Fred’s skill set in collaborative selling, coupled with his technical process optimisation expertise and strong leadership traits make him well-suited to lead our sales and marketing efforts in the technology and service industries.”
Manley takes over 25 years of experience in industrial gases and equipment to his new post. Indeed, he will now lead Airgas’ sales and marketing efforts for customers who manufacture products such as electrical machinery, advanced power storage, aerospace & defence, electronics, medical and scientific equipment, in addition to large-scale pharmaceuticals.
Tony Simonetta – President of Airgas East
Replacing Manley, Tony Simonetta will take over as President of Airgas East. Reporting to Shaun Powers, Airgas Eastern Division President, Simonetta brings more than 20 years of experience to the position.
As President of Airgas East, one of 12 regional companies that make up Airgas’ distribution business, Simonetta now leads a region with more than 1,000 employees working in more than 100 locations.
Headquartered in Salem, New Hampshire, Airgas East serves customers in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and northern Virginia.
