Airgas want to support a sustainable future for the food industry with its equipment offering, as it looks to enhance the market and help manufacturers meet rising consumer demands in an efficient manner.

The Air Liquide company has said it will showcase its technologies apt for the industry at the upcoming International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Centre on 25th-27thJanuary.

Focusing specifically on the poultry industry, Airgas offers a complete value chain of solutions to help customers produce quality products from farm to fork while maintaining food sanitation standards and lowering the carbon footprint within the food industry.

Two of the company’s technologies that will be showcased at IPPE are the FP1 Freezing Tunnel and the Bottom Injection System. As well as showcasing the technologies at the event, experts will be on hand to consult with food manufacturers navigating the challenges of adapting traditional production methods to meet emerging needs.

A cryo tunnel freezer, FP1 is a fully welded, stainless steel, in-line cryogenic tunnel with modular sections that can be easily integrated into any food processing line. It offers the versatility to efficiently freeze, crust freeze, or chill any type of food product using liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide while ensuring exceptional product quality.

The Airgas bottom injection system is a patented, high flow, self-sealing and easily cleanable stainless steel cryogenic injector designed for bottom injection temperature control applications using the latest hygiene guidelines.

The design of the system will limit the potential for larger food safety issues, as its ease of cleanliness and inspection helps prevent any product contamination, which can lead to a food recall. It is well suited for processors that need increased productivity and ease of operation with minimal capital investment and installation cost.
